City of Horn Lake joins list of 2+2 sponsors

Mayor Nat Baker and Arianne (AJ) Jenkins (far left), Community Development/Human Resources Director of the City of Horn Lake,  are pleased to announce a $1,000 sponsorship of the BancorpSouth 2 + 2 Scholarship Golf Tournament, scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Cherokee 
Valley Golf Club in Olive Branch.  

On hand to celebrate this new sponsor to the tournament were Debra Herrington, tournament founder and director, and Dr. Bonnie Buntin(far right), dean of the University of Mississippi – DeSoto.  According to Herrington, the tournaments have raised over $160,000 in the past five years with the proceeds being used to provide scholarships to students attending Northwest Mississippi Community College and Ole Miss at the DeSoto Center. “My husband, Mike, and I are very pleased to be a part of this special effort to help students attend college, and we really appreciate the City of Horn Lake’s commitment to this initiative," said Herrington.
