The Nursing Division received 156 applications (including Traditional, Transition and LPN Challenge options). The point range for the 75 accepted students for the traditional track is 108-64.5. Northwest Mississippi Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award the Associate of Arts degree, the Associate of Applied Science degree, and certificates in career education. The College was initially accredited by the Mississippi Junior College Accrediting Association in 1928 and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in December 1953. The latest reaffirmation of the SACSCOC accreditation was in 2007. The college is also a member of the American Association of Community Colleges. The Associate Degree Nursing program was initially accredited by the National League for Nursing in 1978 and has maintained that accreditation. Required Textbooks — All students in the nursing program will receive their required nursing textbooks with a fee charged along with tuition. This will be at a discounted rate-cheaper than you can purchase at the bookstore or online and will include all access codes needed. Buying books on your own will not be an option-the fee will be charged based on the course you are taking.

- The Traditional track is a four semester program for students seeking an Associate's degree in Nursing.
- The LPN Challenge advanced placement testing option is for students with an LPN license.
